The Respiratory System

 The Respiratory System 
1.this system is basically the lungs which are responsible for the absorption of oxygen into the bloodstream and expelling carbon dioxide from the body
2.this occurs by breathing air into and out of the lungs. 
3. the oxygen moves from a high concentration (the air we breathe in)  to a low concentration in the blood. This is scientific terms called osmosis
4. carbon dioxide moves in the opposite direction.
5. oxygen is vitally important to the human body as it is a major ingredient required to produce energy in the muscles
