Learning

What have you been learning about?

Why did you learn this?

  • Here briefly cover Slinkachu as well as your chosen collage/layers artist. This bit is a big ask in one section. Make it a series of recap paragraphs or points with a photo YOU made to illustrate the work done.

  • Also, I would expect you to be able to state a focal point and leading lines for each photographic art work you made. You can use a google drawing or another method to illustrate this point if you like.

How can you show what you have been doing?

  • Screenshot?

  • Photo?

  • Video?

  • Drive?

Your photo’s here.

Reflection

rats and fleas

There have been many killers in the history of the world. There have been serial killers, there have been murders. But none of them can compare to these two killers. Aids and The Bubonic Plague (The Black Death) They have been the worse killers because when they strike, we have no way of curing them. Both of these diseases are fatal. There is no cure for them. That is what makes these two so frightening and scary. We have no idea where these two epidemics came from, there has been stipulation but no single person can say where they originated or who or what brought either of the two. Eventually, the Bubonic plague stopped after claiming 1/4 of Europe's population. Unfortunately, Aids does not look like it will die down any time soon. These diseases have been the worse killers of our time. But there are some similarities between the two.

evaporation

Aim: to separate the solute and solvent away form he liquid

Hypothesis: the solute and solvent won't have liquid and will turn into crystal

Equipment: Copper sulfate solution, 250mL Beaker, heatproof mat, evaporating basin, element.

Method:

  1. Set up element

  2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place on the element.

  3. Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.

  4. Carefully, place the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.

  5. Turn on the element to 3

  6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming.

  7. Turn off the element- be careful not to touch, as it will be hot for a long time.

observation I could hear hissing and see the liquid turning into crystal

conclusion Yes the liquid turned into a crystal

discussion there was subsolid and when removing the liquid the solids showed

evaluation No because the water took a very long time to start bubbleing

Science experment

 AIM:

to sperate a solution from a precipitate (precipitate is the name for a solid that forms in a liquid during a chemical reaction)

METHOD:

1. Pour approximately 50mL of copper sulfate solution into a beaker.

2. Add the same volume of sodium carbonate solution. A reaction will happen, you should see a cloudy blue precipitate form called copper carbonate.

3.fold filter paper to fit inside the funnel

4. Place the funnel with the filter paper inside of it, into the mouth of a conical flask.

5. we Stirred the mixture in the beaker, then carefully pour it into the funnel.

6. Observe what happened.

we stared with clear and light blue chemicals that were both see-through, then we mixed them and they went to a non-see-through solid in the water and then we filtered them and it made a clear liquid the non-see-through part was a solid, filtering it removed the solid.

that's how you make it and the result of it and we did that yester for a "pre-test"

Mixing&Dissolving

this week we are doing mixing and dissolving

Mixing is when you have two different things and you mix them which combine them and make something new. Eg: salt and water make saltwater

dissolving:

dissolving is when you put salt or some sort of powder into a liquid and that powder becomes one with the liquid and you can not longer see it in the water as it was when it was a powder and it just looks like water

2 week holiday reflection

An experience in life that forces you to grow up and to take on responsibility, can only be rewarding and uplifting in the future. When you look back at all you came thru and the courage that possessed you at that most trying time. I only have one moment that really sticks out in my mind.

My family and I went to The pools which is a local place for the fortunate place it was in. Being thrilled about this certain project my mom decided we should do was not quiet my attitude. I didn't want to spend the holidays in a dusty old pool serving slide passes to people. Why could we just be normal and stay home with family and have fun and play games on a ps4 or computer

B & E

 was your business a success?

Yes, my business was a success, in 15-20 mins after it started all the people started making it over to us and then they started to buy it and have fun so more people kept coming so we made profit it was around $20 but that's still better then what i thought we would get.

how much profit did my group make?

we made around 20 dollars because people started to buy an extra drink aswell so we made the drinks 3 dollars.

3 things i learnt from B&E:

that working in a group is a lot easier and that we don't need lots of money we just use the recorces we already had, and that making money isn't just about how you do it it is about patince.

what things would i change next time?

taking turns to stay at the business not just making one person do it the whole day.

highlits of the day:

being able to walk round with my friends and have fun that's really it.
